The first camera that I got my hands on was a Russian Smena, a gift from my father when I was 10. Much later, when I was studying architecture in England I bought a  -Russian, too- Zenit. My mother brought me my first “real” camera from a trip with the National Theatre in Japan, in 1979. It was an Olympus OM 2 at a fraction of the price for it in Greece.

And then came digital photography. I was one of the first to buy a Sony Mavica. And thereafter many others followed, Sony, Olympus, all digital and compact, until my current Nikon D 90 and of course my iPhone, which I carry on me at all times and shoot several photos with it. In my few trips around the world, I took some thousands of photos, only some of which I share with you…
